Christmas primary lesson 2012

today I went to church. it was cool we learned about Jesus being born. prophets had prophesied him being born, a long time before he was born. like Lehi said he would be born within 600 years! crazy! huh? We also learned that only Alma and Mosiah told people what Mary's name would be, all the other prophets only said that there will be a virgin. so that was cool. we also learned about my second favorite prophet: Samuel the laminite. he prophesied that Jesus will come within 5 years. on the fifth year the wicked nephites said that if Jesus wasn't born soon they would kill all the laminates. Samuel was scared. he prayed and heavenly father said that Jesus would be born tonight. He was happy that Jesus was coming and that no one would be killed.Jesus was born. the star appeared and the night was as bright as noon day. here is the Christmas story according to Luke: and it came to pass that there was a degree from Caesar Augustus that the world should be taxed. all went to be taxed. and Joseph went up from Galilee into Nazareth in Judea of the city of David which is called Bethlehem and was taxed with his espoused wife being great with child. Mary brought her firstborn son and laid him in a manger because there was no room in the inn. in the same country there were shepherds watching there fl locks over night. and a angel Io appeared before them and they were sore afraid.and the angel said, fear not for i bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. for unto you a child is born this day in the city of David a savior which is Christ the Lord. and this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. and suddenly there was a multitude with heavenly hosts singing glory to god in the highest, and on earth peace good will to men. and when the angels were gone away the shepherds said to one another, let us go see the thing that the lord hath made known unto us.and they came and saw Mary, and Joseph and  the babe lying in a manger. and they praised him. so this is what i learned in primary.

  1. That is wonderful, Adam! I love the scripture story you shared. And Samuel the Lamanite is one of my heroes. I love singing the song about him...singing Hosanna! You have such a wonderful primary! You already know so much about the BEST gift of Christmas...our Savior, Jesus Christ!
